What is a CPA?
CPA is the designation given to professionals who have joined CPA Australia and completed the requirements of the CPA Program and Mentored Practical Work Experience Program.

How many subjects are in the CPA Program?
It is made up of 6 segments - 3 compulsory and 3 elective segmetns ( 9 to choose from).


Can I work in the Big 4 and still do the CPA program?
Yes, CPA Australia has over 3000 CPA members currently working in the Big 4 accounting firms.


Is CPA Australia recognised overseas?
Yes, CPA Australia is currently recognised by accounting bodies around the world. We have fully staffed offices in Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, China, New Zealand and London.


Do I need to be employed while studying the CPA Program?
No, you do not need to be working to complete this program. You do need to be working at least 17.5 hours per week to complete the requirements of the CPA Practical Experience Mentor Program.
